Colossalcon, formerly Cleveland Colossal Convention, is a multi-day event held annually in Sandusky, Ohio at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center. This year, the event ran May 28th through June 1st.
ColossalCon was started as a one-day event in 2002 in Strongsville, Ohio. It expanded to a 3-day event in 2003 and moved to Independence, OH. The convention moved to Beachwood, Oh in 2008 and in 2009 they found their permanent home in Sandusky, OH. Colossalcon has several sister conventions held at other Kalahari Resorts in Texas, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. All of the events feature a roster of guest celebrities, a huge selection of musical entertainment, panels, contests, and cosplay.

What makes the Colossalcon events a little unique is that they are held at a waterpark. This makes for some interesting cosplay ideas and great photo shoot opportunities. They also offer a dance party, a karaoke contest, maid cafe, gaming, Idol fest and a slew of other fun events.
