Tokyo, OK is Oklahoma’s largest anime, Japanese, and pop culture convention. It’s a fan-based event with a mission to promote cultural understanding and the arts through entertainment. What started as a smaller local gathering has grown into a multi-day convention offering hundreds of hours of programming. This years event ran July 11-13, 2025 and was held at the Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills – Ruffin Event Center in Tulsa, OK.
Every year this fun event brings in a handful of guests to interact with fans and provide valuable insight into their careers and shows. The celebrity guests this year included Krystal LaPorte, Elise Braughman, Brian Mathis, and Xanthe Huynh. Attendees had the opportunity to attend panels on industry careers and Japanese culture, and hands-on workshops. There was also a Gaming Hub with console, video, and tabletop tournaments.

Other popular activities include the Cosplay Contests, Amateur Art Contest, IDOL Competition and the AMV Contest. If you were interested in shopping or just had a little downtime the Shopping Bazaar had a variety of merchants and artists pedaling wares from all genres.
