FAN EXPO Chicago 2025 was here from August 15-17 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center and it was a blast.
One of the fun events of Fan Expo is their Red Carpet Walk on. This is not a cosplay contest, but an opportunity to show off your cosplay and show the rest of the convention the cosplay you are wearing. You stand in line, fill out a card about your character, then step out onto the carpet and strut your stuff. There is one red carpet event per day and everyone of all cosplay levels and ages are welcome.

Even if you didn’t participate in the Red carpet, be sure to check them out. Those are a great example of a what a professional with the right equipment can do.

I consider myself an amateur photographer. I have one camera, one lens and no lighting. On Sunday Moorcroft Photography was unable to attend the red carpet and I found myself as the lone photographer up on the edge. I have done my best with what I had. Unfortunately, some of you moved too fast for my lens or stood too far away for really good photos. I cant blame you as there wasn’t a lot of guidance on this day.
