Chīzu Con (cheez-oo kon) is a one-day annual cosplay and gaming convention held in Madison, Wisconsin. This event is held at the Goodman Community Center and was started officially in 2019. The convention’s branding and logo are a playful nod to Wisconsin as it features a melting block of cheese.

Small conventions like this are the true heart of the community. These are the grassroots events that started it all, and they are the ones that will keep it going. Chizu Con is a perfect example, proving that a successful convention doesn’t need big-name guests. These event run on heart and a genuine passion. These gatherings serve as a safe, judgment-free gateway into the world of fandom, offering a welcoming space where everyone can freely express themselves.
One key attraction to most conventions is the cosplay contest and this event was no exception. It’s a small but fun event that gives creators a great chance to highlight some of their skills.
