Ultracon of South Florida is a multi-genre fan convention. The 2025 event was held from September 19th to September 21st at the South Florida Expo Center. This annual pop culture gathering brings together fans of comics, anime, gaming, movies, and TV shows.

There was a variety of programming and events. There was a bustling vendor hall with over 100 vendors selling everything from vintage comic books and action figures to art. Attendees could participate in Q&A panels with guests where they could learn about their favorite voice actors and celebrities. The convention had a cosplay contest where fans showed off their creativity and fandom love. For gamers, there were also various gaming tournaments to compete in.
The convention’s celebrity lineup for 2025 included a variety of notable figures from the world of animation and entertainment. Confirmed guests included several well-known voice actors such as John Swasey, Cynthia Cranz, and Chuck Huber. The event also hosted actors like Bob Elmore, famous for his role as Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and voice actor Scott Innes, the iconic voice of Scooby Doo.

Unfortunately, due to last-minute flight cancellations out of Dallas several guests were unable to make it. According to an official statement from the convention these guests included Vanessa Angel, Ernie Reyes Jr., and a several voice actors. The number of cancellations was a notable disappointment for many attendees, unfortunately that setback was well beyond anything the event could control.
The cosplay on site was stellar and thanks to Nocedo Media Group we get to check out some of it. For more and/or higher quality photso be sure to check out their Flikr album.
