Fanboy Expo Orlando ran September 26-28 at the Orange County Convention Center. This event drew thousands of fans for a weekend focused on celebrity guests, comic artists, and cosplay.
Every year Fanboy Expo brings in some very notable guests. This year the featured guests were Gene Simmons, “Weird Al” Yankovic and the Bionic – Duo Lindsay Wagner and Lee Majors. the event also reunited several cast members from “The Goonies”, “The Lord of the Rings”, “The Mandalorian”, and the 80’s TV series “Dallas”
It seems the event ran like all the larger conventions do. There were the usual complaints of poor communication, unorganized lines, and Saturday overcrowding, These complaints have become so common at the events that it should be more surprising when you don’t encounter them. Always plan for crowds and long lines.
This is a big celebrity focused convention, but there was still a lot of cosplay and Nocedo Photo Media Group was there to capture it. Thanks to them we have some great photos, but you can find many more in their Flikr album.
