From April 10–12, 2026, fans gathered at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center for a weekend dedicated to comics, cosplay, and pop culture. This spring event is known for being friendly and easy to navigate, making it a favorite for local fans.

The guest list offered something for everyone. Actors Alyson Stoner, Daniel Logan, and Blake Foster met with fans and signed autographs. While creators such as Tim Seeley and Bart Sears spent the weekend meeting readers and sharing their art.
Panels for the weekend included prop building and cosplay sewing, while the guests spoke about their time on some of your favorite shows and artists taught dragon drawing. There was plenty to do besides meeting guests. The convention featured a large room for tabletop gaming, a blood drive to help the community, and a “Kid-Zone” with activities for younger fans.
On Saturday night, the Masquerade costume contest took place. The stage was filled with impressive outfits, especially from Star Wars and various anime series. It was clear that the local community put a lot of hard work into their designs this year.
If you missed the spring show, don’t worry. The larger Grand Rapids Comic Con is coming to DeVos Place from November 13–15, 2026. In the meantime, check out some of the cosplay that was seen during the spring event. Ryan Heffron Photography took some fantastic photos. This is only a small portion of them, head over to his main site to see them all.
