The Calgary Comics & Entertainment Expo 2026 took over Stampede Park during the weekend of April 23–26. It delivered a massive four-day celebration that drew nearly 100,000 fans.
The event featured the 25th Anniversary Lord of the Rings reunion with Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd. Other celebrity events included Smallville Nights with tom Welling and Erica Durance, Star Trek Legends with Brent Spiner and Gates McFadden, and The Wizarding World with Matthew Lewis, Bonnie Wright, and the Phelps twins.
The floor featured over 700 vendors that you could visit for everything you could imagine. If your imagination was a little more fantastical you could have visited artists alley for a sketch or picked up some art.
High winds forced the traditional POW! Parade of Wonders to pivot into a “Party of Wonders” indoors on Friday, but that didn’t truly effect the quality of cosplay on display. Thanks to Norman Bareng we get to see some of it.
