Anime North 2026 ran from May 22–24, 2026 at the Toronto Congress Centre in Toronto, Ontario. This non-profit, volunteer-run celebration of anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture is in it’s 29th year, having started in August of 1997.
This event featured voice actress Kikuko Inoue from Oh My Goddess!, Kasumi Tendo in Ranma ½, and Lust in Fullmetal Alchemist. The convention also brought several YTV hosts together in a reunion panel.
Other fan favorites that have become Anime North staples included the Friday Night Flea Market and Artist Alley which featured everything from independent illustrators and comic creators to fan-merch creators.
Of course, for us, cosplay always takes center stage and thanks to Devin Common, we get a great array of cosplay that was seen on the floor.
