Colossalcon 2026 (aka Colossalcon Prime) just wrapped up last weekend. The event took over the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Sandusky Ohio from Wednesday, May 27 through Sunday, May 31, 2026. I’m sure more than a few families that had planned their summer trip, got a bit of a surprise. Colossalcon in Ohio is one of several Colossalcon events held throughout the country. Each of these are held at waterparks and has come to be known as the “anime waterpark conventions.”
Every year they bring in a variety of voice actors and musical performers. This year the voice actors included Cherami Leigh, Clifford Chapin and Mela Lee. Some of the musical guests were The Video Game Symphony, Triforce Quartet, and Japanese rock band Kazha. The late night events were spinning tunes with DJ Speedycake and DJ Y0bi.
Other events that attract a lot of attention are the Robotic Destruction, wrestling and the display of Itashi vehicles. They also had the standard arcade, dance competitions, cosplay gatherings and photo shoots.
