Anthrocon 2026 took place July 2nd to July 5th, 2026, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is what is known as a furry or anthropomorphic convention, an event where people celebrate the art and lore that they love. Anthrocon began 1997 as Albany Anthrocon, and since then has grown into one of the largest furry conventions in the world.

Normally, Anthrocon offers a vibrant lineup of activities that spill from the convention center out into the streets of Pittsburgh with a Fursuit parade and a Block Party —a free, open-air celebration where con-goers and the local community mingle. Unfortunately, both the Fursuit parade and the Block Party were cancelled this year due to extreme weather. However those still wanting to partake in outdoor activities could embark on a scenic River Cruise along the Allegheny River. Inside, dance takes center stage, featuring the high-energy Floor Wars Dance Battle, formal competitions, and lively nightly dances.
