Anime NebrasKon returned to the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa, from October 16–18, 2026. This event has been operating for over two decades and continues to be three days packed with vibrant energy.
Invited guests included voice actors Keith Silverstein, Bryce Papenbrook, and Alejandro Saab. There were Q&A sessions on the main stage, as well as autograph and photo opportunities.
There were more than 100 scheduled activities spanning all three days. The main floor area was home to a lineup of local artisans, illustrators, printers and merchants. Attendees could find convention-exclusive prints, handcrafted items, and imported collectibles across various fandoms. There were themed screening rooms where one could find a new series or rewatch a classic. The gamers were not forgotten with dedicated tabletop gaming libraries, console setups, and classic arcade machines. there was a little something for everyone.
Evening events kept the crowd hopping with karaoke sessions, dance parties featuring live DJs, and adult-themed panel tracks.
This event also had a very impressive cosplay turnout. Controller Au Lait was on site and took some great photos which they are graciously allowing us to use. Be sure to check them out:
