Kumoricon 2024 took place from November 8 to 10 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. Organized by the non-profit Altonimbus Entertainment, Kumoricon is one of the largest anime conventions in the Pacific Northwest, drawing fans from all over with a diverse lineup of panels, cosplay contests, gaming tournaments, and special guest appearances.
Celebrating over twenty years of anime and Japanese culture, Kumoricon has become a beloved tradition. Named after the Japanese word “kumori” (meaning “cloudy”), it reflects both the Pacific Northwest’s signature weather and its passionate anime community. Since its founding in 2003, Kumoricon has been a place where fans across generations come together for a weekend of shared excitement, rain or shine. As Oregon’s largest anime convention, Kumoricon continues to grow each year, offering a uniquely fan-driven experience that honors both the fandom and Japanese culture.
