GalaxyCon was founded in 2006 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as Florida Supercon, held in late 2006. The Supercon name was sold to Reedpop and the event was rebranded as GalaxyCon. They now host events across the country.
GalaxyCon Raleigh started in 2017 under the Supercon name and rebranded to GalaxyCon in 2019.
