Denver Comic Con started in 2012 as a program for the educational organization, Pop Culture Classroom. The name changed to In 2019 to Denver Pop Culture Con in response to a lawsuit from a certain large event in California. In 2021 Fan Expo HQ acquired the event and renamed it to Fan Expo Denver.
