The long weekend is coming up, but it is also Dragon Con weekend. Dragon Con runs August 28th through September 1st and is held in Atlanta, GA. Dragon Con is one of the largest and most well-known pop culture conventions in North America. This event has grown from it’s small origins in 1987 into a massive five-day event that draws tens of thousands of attendees. and encompasses multiple host hotels in downtown Atlanta. This is a 24-hour event that features panels, vendors, artists, celebrities, gaming and just about everything else that you can imagine.

Even though the event doesn’t officially start until Thursday, thousands of people have already shown up. This is the Mardis Gras of the cosplay world and the parties have already begun. Last night, the hotel floors were full of people in cosplay and civilian wear. This is just a preview of what is to come.
