Galaxycon Raleigh 2025 was held from July 24-27. This four-day festival celebrated pop culture, including comic books, sci-fi, and anime. The event drew a diverse crowd to the Raleigh Convention Center with a lineup of celebrity guests like William Shatner, Susan Sarandon, Geena Davis, and Andy Serkis. Fans had the chance to attend Q&A panels, get autographs and photos, and participate in cosplay competitions and gaming.

The event also included unique attractions that became significant highlights. A special late-night interactive screening of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” with star Barry Bostwick was a major hit. Fans of the TV show Psych were also able to attend a live recording of “The Psychologists Are In” podcast. On top of that, the cosplay competitions showcased incredible craftsmanship, and Q&A panels with popular voice actors from franchises like Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros. were extremely well-attended.
There were a few complaints but they all line up with the typical complaints for major events with nothing major being noted. The biggest being overcrowding followed by a perceived lack of organization, which led to chaotic lines and difficult navigation. Inconsistent enforcement of rules by staff and some guest cancellations also added to the disappointment for many.
