Isekai Anime Con is an anime focused convention that was held in Sandy, UT over the weekend of March 21st. This three-day event is run by local nerds for nerds. The convention featured panels, guest appearances, cosplay, games, events, dealers, and screenings.
The ‘Isekai’ name come from the anime genre of the same name. Isekai is a popular subgenre in anime and manga where characters are transported from their world to a new, often fantastical world. The word “Isekai” literally translates to “another world” in Japanese, and these stories often involve adventure, fantasy, and sometimes a role-playing game-like setting.
Guests at this years event included Canadian voice actresses Erika Harlacher and Erin Fitzgerald. They also had American voices Katiana Sarkissian and Amber Lee Connors.
