On June 7, 2025, the city of Joliet, Illinois, and the Joliet Public Library once again transformed into a hub of galactic excitement and entertainment as it hosted the annual Joliet Star Wars Day. This was an unforgettable experiences for Star Wars fans of all ages. Jedi, Sith, Stormtroopers, Wookies, Sand People, and Jawas converged for a day of lightsaber battles, games, music, movie prop exhibits, and, of course, a grand parade.
This event began in the summer of 2012 at the public library as a small celebration. It has since grown into a large Star Wars block party encompassing downtown Joliet. This years event was held primarily in the Slammers Stadium with events spread throughout the rest of the area.

The event kicked off with the highly anticipated costume parade. The parade featured the 501st Legion Midwest Garrison, Rebel Legion, and the Chicago Jedi, showcasing an array of screen-accurate costumes and passionate fans.
