METROCON, Florida’s largest anime convention, recently wrapped up its 2025 event from July 25-27 at the Tampa Convention Center. This annual three-day extravaganza, organized by Team Dynamite Productions, immerses attendees in the vibrant worlds of anime, video games, comics, and cosplay.
The convention boasted over 100,000 sq ft of vendors and artists, along with more than 450 hours of scheduled shows and panel content. Highlights included a video game arcade, tabletop gaming, and various contests and cosplay events. METROCON also featured its signature “Anime Human Chess Match” and “DREAM/fight LIVE!” — high-energy cosplay performances. The “Masquerade” offered an interactive experience for cosplayers and themed attire.

Attendees enjoyed a packed schedule of panels and workshops, lively music and dance events, and even a Maid Cafe. Voice acting guests for 2025 included Ben Diskin, Brian Beacock, Emi Lo, Jessie James Grelle, and Jonah Scott. From its start in 2003, METROCON has grown to deliver unique, theme-park-style experiences, aiming for an immersive and entertaining atmosphere for all fans.
