NekoCon 2025 was held from October 31st to November 2nd at eh Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, VA. Founded in 1998, NekoCon bills themselves as Virginia’s longest-running anime convention. This event is a celebration of anime, manga, gaming, pop culture, and everything in between.

This year had the theme of “Cy-Purr-Punk,” fusing classic anime culture with cyberpunk aesthetics. The convention featured a robust lineup of voice actors, including Tony Oliver and Paul St. Peter, who participated in autograph sessions and Q&A events. the event also raised over $7,000 for the Carolina Manga Library and the Hampton Roads Cancer Care Foundation.

Overall, the event was regarded as a successful and well-organized mid-sized convention. There was panels, gaming, and specialized events such as the Maid Cafe and Host Club. There was also a variety of musical talent representing genres from K-Pop to YouTubers turned singers.
