Setsucon 2026 ran January 30th to February 2 at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, Pennsylvania. This event has been run since 2007 and is organized by the Penn State Anime Organization. Setsucon literally means “snow” con and has truly earned its reputation as “Winter’s Warmest Anime Celebration.”
This years theme was “High Rolling Anime Oasis” which brought a neon, high-stakes energy to the frosty weekend. Attendees navigated over 250 hours of programming, ranging from the charming Maid Café and Silent Auction to high-octane gaming tournaments featuring Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6.

The event featured a powerhouse guest lineup, including Ryan Colt Levy, Reagan Murdock, Megan Hollingshead, and Bill Butts. Beyond the autograph lines, the creative spirit of the community took center stage. with a bevy of local and national artists and crafters in the exhibitor hall.
Cosplay took the center stage. There was a variety of cosplay activities including a “High Stakes: Wig styling Competition, Cosplay meetups, the hall contest and the Masquerade showcase.
