TeslaCon 2025 was held November 6th to 9th in Madison, Wi at the Madison Marriott West. This event is one of North America’s premier immersive steampunk conventions.

The four-day event brought hundreds of attendees into detailed theme-based storyline. This year was the theme was “The Tear of Odin.” giving us Steampunk in 1894 Norway. This event stands out because TeslaCon a full immersion experience, encouraging attendees to develop a character and participate actively as the plot unfolds throughout the hotel venue. The storyline progressed with themed sessions, programming, and workshops designed to deepen the experience. Attendees could have participated in Viking Wire Weaving, learned about the Sami Culture, crafted some runes or participated in Flamingo Gnome Jousting. When you were done with that you could also have visited the Art Show and Vendors’ Room which highlights unique Steampunk items from across the United States.

Cosplay costuming remained Steampunk and Neo-Victorian however the theme inspired attendees to integrate a Northern European and Nordic flair. Many took the inspiration and incorporated mythology, runes, and even Norwegian folk tales into their cosplay.
