Anime Central (ACen), is an annual Anime convention held in Rosemont, IL. This is the premier anime, manga, and Japanese popular culture convention in the Midwest. This year’s event ran May 16th-18th.
This weekend-long, family-friendly event is the ultimate playground for everything anime-related from celebrities to art. This is your chance to take a picture with a cosplayer, get an autograph with some of your favorite voice actors, or walk away with a new series to watch. Pick up some artwork, attend a panel, or participate in one of the several workshops.

This year featured a huge selection of voice actors from across all genres. A few of the featured actors included Mark Meer, Kari Wahlgren, Zeno Robinson, and Kirk Thornton. The event includes a huge exhibit hall, a massive video game room, concerts, dances, educational panels and workshops, premiere screenings, autograph sessions, 24-hour video rooms, tabletop gaming and so much more.
