The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) ran over the weekend of April 11-13 and we were on site to get you some great cosplay photos and talk about the con.
As the biggest day of the convention, it certainly makes sense that this was also the most crowded. Saturday was also the day of the Crown Championship of Cosplay competition, meaning many of the competitors could be seen out and about throughout the day. Even if they weren’t competing in the cosplay competition, the was the day many attendees chose to bring out their biggest, best, and most impressive cosplays, as well as their most costume changes.

In addition to lots of cosplay, there was lots to do on and off the con floor. I was able to attend a panel hosted by Crying But Capable, a cosplay group that fights for diversity and inclusion in the cosplay community, and one of the convention’s cosplay guests. Their panel was about promoting diversity in the cosplay community, but I’ll share more about that with you later on. There was programming well late into the night, including the Crown Championship after party and panels geared more toward adult attendees.
