FAN EXPO Vancouver 2025 took place February 21 to February 23, 2025, at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, BC. This annual event celebrates various facets of pop culture, including comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming, and cosplay. It’s a fun event with a variety of activities such as celebrity panels, autograph sessions, workshops, artists alley, and a vendor hall. Fan Expo Vancouver was first established in 2012 as a spin-off of FAN EXPO Canada and quickly grew in popularity. This event attracts thousands of attendees each year.
Every year fans are delighted to interact with well-known celebrities, they can get photos taken, autographs signed and attend panels. This year featured well-known guests such as Hayden Christensen, Alan Tudyk, Erika Henningsen, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Christopher Lloyd and many more.
All events typically have problems and like most events, the biggest complaint for Fan Expo Vancouver was the crowding. Saturday was the busiest day and it was packed with barely any room to move in the aisles. The next biggest complaint was the volunteer staff were unhelpful. Sorry folks, they are volunteers and typically only really there for the free pass. The volunteers have little training and are pretty much traffic control and to signal emergency personnel. Other issues were food prices and food selection.
Despite these problems, the cosplay was spectacular. A lot of cosplayers were present to show their love for their fandoms and to show their skills. This year we have photos from two different people to give us two different perspectives.
