Gem State Comic Con is located in Boise, ID and has been running since 2019. It has now become the state’s largest pop culture comic event. This years event took place May 17-18.
The show features celebrity guests from a variety of genres. The celebrity guests this year included Ray Park, Bonnie Wright, Sean Gunn, and Scott Patterson. Other guests included voice actors such as Jon St. John, Derek Stephen Prince, and Elise Baughman. The event featured over 300 artists and vendors giving attendees a lot to browse through.
Gem State also featured a variety of panels, a maid cafe and a tabletop gaming area. One interesting feature of the event was an extraordinary Godzilla Diorama Museum presented by Juan Carlos Auces aka Carrzilla.
Like all conventions that we cover on here Gem State Comic Con also featured a wide variety of cosplay. Cosplayers came out from across the state and several from out of state to attend the con and show us some of the fantastic ideas. Thanks to Vic BD Green we get to see some of the fantastic cosplay that attended this event.
