MomoCon 2026 took place May 27 – 30 at the Georgia world Congress center in Atlanta, Georgia. This was the first year it had expanded to utilize both buildings of the center. Now in its 21st year this event brought in over 67, 000 attendees.
A new this year was ‘Wonder Festival US’. It was hosted by the Japanese model kit company Kaiyodo and brought international creators, exclusive garage kits, and prototype figure reveals directly to Atlanta. from hand-sculpted collectibles to limited-run creations, Wonder Festival gave artists and collectors the chance to share their passion.
Celebrity guest list this year included the main cast of Critical Role, including Matthew Mercer, Ashley Johnson, Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, and Taliesin Jaffe. While notable artists at the event included Cara McGee, Chuck Brown, DJ Kirkland, and Andy Price.
Other events included the 24-hour gaming hall running continuously, which featured everything from competitive esports and indie games to retro arcades, tabletop zones, and LAN areas. They also had live entertainment, maid cafe, a car show and numerous phots shoots.
Cosplay is always a heavy focus with the Friday Cosplay Showcase and the Saturday Craftsmanship Catwalk, but we aren’t here for the those.
