Montreal Comiccon 2026 wrapped up its 16th year with an incredible weekend of geek culture. The even ran July 3 to 5 at the Palais des Congrès and drew in over 67,000 fans of sci-fi, superheroes, horror, fantasy, and anime.
The 2026 guest list stretched across genres and media forms. It was headlined by names such as Lea Thompson, Ron Perlman, Robert Englund, and Tom Welling. Well known TV favorites such as Giancarlo Esposito, Catherine Tate, James Marsters , and Robert Patrick had fans lining up for photo ops. Voice actors Neil Newbon, Yuri Lowenthal and Troy Baker also drew large crowds.
The celebrities drew in the crowds but comics remained the heart of the convention with over 50 well known creators. Jeph Loeb, Dan Jurgens, Tom Grummett, David Finch, and Rick Leonardi were just a few of the names in Artist Alley. IAdditionally, Artist Alley hosted over 100 independent artists showcasing their own unique works.
The entertainment lineup featured a unique mix of music and gaming. Concerts included James Marsters Live!, the heavy-metal Star Wars tribute band Galactic Empire, and Naheulband, K-Pop Live Experience and orchestral OVMF concerts. Gaming enthusiasts visited the fifth floor to explore the Loto-Québec Indie Game Zone and the Asmodee Gaming Zone.
Local cosplayers filled the halls each costume portraying a skill or love for a particular genre. All skill levels and abilities were displayed on the floor and thanks to Gregory Michel we get to see some of it.
