The August 2026 edition of Steel City Con took place from August 7 through August 9 at the Monroeville Convention Center near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This three-day event drew thousands of fans for a packed weekend of celebrity meet-and-greets, comic hunting, cosplay competitions, and artist showcases. The floor hosted over 750 vendor and artist tables loaded with vintage toys, rare comics, original art, and pop culture memorabilia.
The summer show lineup delivered a star-studded guest lineup, headlined by John Cena.. Fans turned out in droves for autographs and photos with Doctor Who cast members Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, and Jenna Coleman, and Stranger Things stars Jamie Campbell Bower, Cara Buono, and Brett Gelman. Other guests included Cheech & Chong, Christopher Lambert, Vincent D’Onofrio, Huey Lewis, Jaleel White, Virginia Madsen, and Courtney Eaton.
Unfortunately, the on Saturday actor Christopher Lambert collapsed at his autograph table and was hospitalized. It has been confirmed that he was suffering from dehydration and low blood sugar, but is currently recovering.
Beyond celebrities Steel City Con delivered a line up of other events including the annual Artist Charity Quick Sketch event, where professional comic creators drew live sketches on-site that were raffled off to raise money for local non-profits. There was also numerous cosplay photo meetups and a mainstage cosplay costume contest.
