Tidewater Comicon ran May 16-17, 2026 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in Virginia Beach, VA. This was two full days of family fun and fandom celebration. This is Virginia’s largest comic convention. It offers a great mix of celebrity appearances, comic creators, cosplay events, and gaming.
This years celebrity lineup featured icons from sci-fi, voice acting, nostalgia, and pro-wrestling. On the sci-fi front there was Billy Zane, Michael Rooker, and Steven Weber. From Animation there were some great voices including Catherine Taber, Ashley Eckstein, Matt Lanter and James Arnold Taylor. From the wrestling side of things there were the legendary Sgt. Slaughter and Mick Foley. Artists Alley also had a few notable guests such a Mike Hawthorne, Ron Marz and Duncan Rouleau.
The event also offered several family and youth events, a variety of panels as well as tabletop and electronic gaming. The convention hosted several local cosplay groups including the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mandalorian Merc, and the Hampton Roads Droid Builders.
This was a cosplay event and thanks to Tegan Domalewski we get to see some of what was there to celebrate this fantastic event.
